A day in the camp before enrolling

Even though testimonials are important, especially for parents sending their children away from home, there’s an inherent desire to visualize their kids engaging in diverse activities. 

To address this, the Amplify team suggested incorporating a video feature that showcases a typical day at the camp. Amplify, an award-winning music and arts program, attracts campers from across the U.S. and around the world. Students have the opportunity to choose from a diverse selection of creative disciplines guided by exceptional instructors. These areas include music, photography, film, theater, music production, skateboarding, dance, choreography, and beyond. 

With the inclusion of the video feature, you can now take a look at various activities, from the initial assembly to bedtime, gaining insight into the immersive experiences that await the students. How? Simple! By just clicking on a the “A Day in the Life” button that walks you through a student’s daily routine in the camp, where each note contributes to the symphony of their learning experience.

The Amplify team gathered various videos showcasing different camp activities. However, they needed a clear and user-friendly way to present these to families. That’s where the Bracket team came in. First, Bracket designed an easy-to-follow user flow that not only showed videos and text options but also included transition videos. We also checked the length of videos based on how users typically watch to ensure a smooth and enjoyable viewing experience. We designed in-house every element needed for this feature, making sure every icon and font matches the look and feel of the site. 

The exciting part of the feature? You get to choose your own adventure! You can pick activities presented by three students from different grade levels at Amplify. Enjoy the freedom to customize your experience – choose specific activities or explore the entire schedule for each student. 

We value usability, making sure that updating content is a hassle-free process. In the backend of the site, you can effortlessly modify videos, transitions, titles, and icons. This ensures that in the event of a schedule change, you won’t need to redo extensive work. Simply adding a new video for the class or updating titles will suffice, providing you with an up-to-date daily camp routine.
